The Apex International Hotel
The Apex International Hotel is set in the heart of Edinburgh's Historic
Old Town and lies directly below the Castle, minutes from the main
city attractions, nightlife, shopping and business districts. The
hotel features contemporary design, has stunning views and is located
in the hub of activity that is the Grassmarket. The hotel can also
handle meetings and conferences up to 200 delegates.

Accommodation
The Apex International has 175 rooms varying from Standard, to Executive,
Superior and Business suites. Guest rooms at this hotel have been
designed to include all the little touches that make you feel your
stay at Apex Hotesl a real home from home. Most of the bedrooms boast
two double beds. Each room offers telephone, hairdryer, trouser press,
fax and computer point, satellite TV, in-house movies and complimentary
tea and coffee facilites.

Facilities
There are two options of dining in the hotel. The Heights Restaurant
offers finer dining high above the Grassmarket in a room with warming
tones of wood and marble. There is a glass expanse to Edinburgh Castle
beyond. The Metro Brasserie, meanwhile, is ideal for light lunches
to catch up with friends, to enjoy an afternoon latte to relax, or
a beer or cocktail with colleagues to round off the day. It is informal,
relaxed, friendly and fun.

Location
The Apex is a four-star hotel in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket alongside
the Apex City hotel. Both hotels are a stones throw from Edinburgh
castle and command views of the castle. Outside there is a selection
of bars and restaurants with outdoor tables to choose from in Summer.
The castle, the city’s main attraction, is accessible by steps
from Grassmarket. This is a direct, if strong, climb up Castle Wynd
(but consider it an aerobic workout) to reach the Edinburgh Castle
high above. Once there it is worth it for the excellent panoramic
views.
