The Apex City Hotel
The Apex City Hotel is the newest addition to the Apex hotel group
portfolio in Edinburgh. It is synonymous with fresh design, combining
clean lines and funky look with comfort and luxury. With a contemporary
design and friendly staff the Apex is designed for the discerning
traveller who seeks a high comfort level and a good welcome in the
heart of the city.

Accommodation
The Apex City has 119 rooms and 9 meeting rooms. The hotel has gone the extra mile to give guests the added, thoughtful touches to make their stay restful and satisfying. Quiet library spaces have been created on each floor and ‘comfort and relaxation’ are key motifs. Rooms have separate power shower to the bath, wide-screened TV and CD/DVD players. Ground coffee, selected teas and selected prints are all on hand to create the right atmosphere.

Facilities
The Apex’s restauraunt, Agua, aims to create a calm space away
from it all. There are reassuring textures and uplifting cuisine to
relax those on business or those who have had a busy sightseeing in
Edinburgh. The food emphasises fresh, natural, wholesome and satisfying
ingredients with local flavours and world of influences. The fixed
price menu is £14. The Apex’s small bar offers a great
selection of beers and wines and also some tempting cocktails. |
Location
The Apex is a four-star deluxe hotel in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket
alongside the International hotel. Both hotels are a stones throw
from Edinburgh castle and command views of the castle. Outside there
is a selection of bars and restaurants with outdoor tables to choose
from in Summer. The castle, the city’s main attraction, is accessible
by steps from Grassmarket. This is a direct if strong climb up Castle
Wynd (but consider it an aerobic workout) to reach the Edinburgh Castle
high above the city which gives excellent panoramic views.
